about

Another collaboration, in the midst of the second wave of the apocalypse; this is our thirty-sixth album! Many many thanks and digital hugs to Joren for doing this split with us!

The dandelion in several Flemish dialects is called "pisseblomme", which literally means; piss flower. A small indication of how unwanted and looked down upon this garden - and grassland flower really is. If only people took the time to get on their knees, so they could appreciate it's true beauty and ecological value. Yet people don't like to bow, and they can't seem to get rid of it fast enough. And even then, the piss flower survives all... Flourishing between the cracks of your driveway, thriving in your round-up-drained-lawns... This split serves as an ode.

Mai 12 harsh noise improvisation by Karl Grümpe + Rene p.g..
Recorded in Florina (GR), June 20th, 2020, amidst COVID-19 extravaganza.

Gertrude material was recorded in spring and early summer of 2020, by a hopeless romantic who was touched by the beauty of a common "weed". Gertrude is a turntable used as noisebox by Joren. Massive thanks to Rene and Karl for making this split possible, and for their patience!
